Jennifer O'Dell (Glendale) is of the Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Indians Tribe of Southern Oregon. She is a beadwork artist and basket-maker. O’Dell has always had an interest in her culture. Her goal has always been to share knowledge with her tribe and keep her culture alive. O'Dell is a 2023 TAAP Apprentice under Beth'Ann Gipson.

Bio

Jennifer O'Dell is of the Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Indians Tribe of Southern Oregon. O’Dell has always had an interest in her culture. She started learning how to bead from her Grandma Louella Rondeau-O'Dell when she was only 7 years old and she still beads today. She was first introduced to weaving in 2021. She is a hard worker, proud cultural keeper, and has learned the art of patience when it comes to weaving basketry. O'Dell has a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Oregon State University. She is committed to sharing knowledge with her tribe to keep her culture alive. O'Dell is a 2023 TAAP Apprentice under Beth'Ann Gipson.
