Describe traditional/skill/craft/art, when & why it is done, and your history with it:
It is a Mexican traditional dance that is related through corporal expression, techniques, geography, and history of dance and origin of the dress and how to use the accessories; when, how and what they represent in the choreography and scenography of each state. I have been exposed to this art since I was a little girl. Also, through my experience teaching traditional dance I have learned that it is the same techniques to learn similar types of dances.

I went to school dance for 13 years. I learned from my teachers, also watching professional dancers. I traveled from state to state and
How, when, why did you come to Oregon:
In February 14th 1993 I came to the U.S. because my husband was living in Oregon. I got married and I followed my husband to Oregon. I learned from older people that had experience with traditional dance, culture and all related with Mexican traditional folklore.
